Albums
Toto's discography comprises 13 studio albums as well as 4 live albums. There are also compilations. In addition to the release of original music, Toto has also done work with other artists and on soundtracks for films. Toto has won numerous Grammy Awards.
Before the formation of Toto the group, members worked as session work for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate, and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session percussionist Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs' 1975 album Silk Degrees. The group's collaboration led to formation of Toto in 1976.
Turn Back, Toto's third studio album was criticized by critics for lacking hit singles. In 1985, the group's lead singer Fergie Fredericksen quit, and the band held auditions to choose a new frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the group recorded their album Fahrenheit in 1986.
In 1998, Toto celebrated its 20th anniversary by re-discovering demos and tapes from the past to release a special edition called Toto XX. The album was well-loved by fans and Toto began a tour with former members Bobby Kimball Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.
While touring for the album 40 Trips Around the Sun the drummer Leland Sklar quit the group and was replaced by Shem von Schroeck. In the year 2017, Toto released the double-CD set Falling in Between. It included recordings from the tour and also an interview with the group.

Toto has released a number of music videos. The band has also released a number of compilation videos and DVDs. The track "Africa" is from the album Toto IV. It was written by the band members and produced by David Paich. It was a huge success in Europe as well as other countries.
